Asian ADRs Move Higher in Wednesday Trading

American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.34% higher at 149.67 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Wednesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by solar panel manufacturer Yingli Green Energy (YGE), and aluminum producer Aluminum Corporation of China (ACH), which rose 4.2% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by mobile internet services provider NQ Mobile (NQ), up 3.7%, and Japanese financial services firm Nomura (NMR), up 3.2%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by solar park operator Sky Solar Holdings (SKYS), which sank 8.5%, followed by Acorn (ATV), which was off 3.3%. Kingtone Wirelessinfo Solution (KONE), a developer of mobile enterprise solutions, dropped 2.7%, while casino and resort operator Melco Crown Entertainment (MPEL) lost 2.4%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by ICICI Bank (IBN), which surged 7.7%, followed by natural resources firm Vedanta (VEDL), which rose 3.4%. Automaker Tata Motors (TTM), and HDFC Bank (HDB), moved up 1.9% and 1.4% respectively.
