Cool to cold weather is expected across the south and interior of the country, while warm to hot weather is expected in the north.

Warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the northeastern parts of the Free State and the northwestern interior of KwaZulu-Natal.

Rainfall

Isolated showers are expected for the Cape Metropole and Cape Winelands.

The rest of the country will remain dry.

Temperatures

Minimum temperatures are expected to be cool to cold across most parts of the country, with very cold conditions over the central interior.

The coldest place will be Sutherland in the Northern Cape, dropping to a below-freezing -3°C.

Maximum temperatures are expected to be cool in the southern parts of the country. It will be warm in the northern regions with hot conditions along the northern belt of Limpopo.

Cold conditions are expected across the Western Cape and Eastern Cape.

The warmest place will be Phalaborwa in Limpopo, reaching a high of 32°C.

Pretoria is expected to reach a high of 26°C, while Johannesburg is expected to reach a maximum of 25°C. Bloemfontein will reach a maximum of 20°C.

Along the coast, Cape Town will reach 16°C, Port Elizabeth is expected to reach 19°C and Durban is expecting a maximum of 22°C.
